Balance Seekr - Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection

Balance Seekr collects minimal data necessary for app functionality:

• Local Data: All habit logs, journal entries, tasks, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using SQLite. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use features that require sharing.
• Optional Encryption: Journal entries can be encrypted locally using device-based encryption keys. When enabled, your journal content is encrypted before being stored.
• Solana Wallet: Wallet addresses are stored locally for app functionality. We do not have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or any wallet credentials.
• X (Twitter) Integration: If you choose to sync your X account, we store your X handle locally for Mastermind group features. We do not access your tweets, followers, or other personal information from X.

2. Data Storage

All personal data (habits, journals, tasks, goals) is stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not transmit this data to external servers unless you explicitly use features that require it (such as Mastermind groups).

3. Third-Party Services

Balance Seekr uses the following third-party services for specific features:

• Backend API: Used only for Mastermind group features. Minimal data is transmitted (group messages, membership status, group metadata). Messages are stored on the backend to enable group functionality.
• Cloudinary: Used for image uploads in Mastermind groups. Images are stored securely and are only accessible to group members.
• X (Twitter) API: Used only if you choose to verify your X account. We do not access your tweets, followers, or personal information beyond your handle.
• Solana Blockchain: Transactions are processed on the Solana blockchain. Wallet addresses and transaction data are public on the blockchain as per blockchain design.

4. Data Retention

You have full control over data retention:

• By default, all data is kept indefinitely on your device.
• You can enable automatic cleanup of old data in Settings (Data Retention section).
• You can manually delete all local data using the "Reset Local Data" option in Settings.
• Journal entries are preserved by default even when cleanup is enabled.

5. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• All personal data is stored locally on your device
• You can delete all local data at any time using the "Reset Local Data" option
• You can enable/disable encryption for journal entries
• You can configure data retention policies
• You can choose not to use features that require external services (Masterminds, X verification)

6. Children's Privacy

Balance Seekr is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
